Regional GP Locum Opportunity | September 2026 | Minimum 4-Week Block

A well-established small animal practice in Kalgoorlie is seeking an experienced locum veterinarian to provide cover throughout September 2026.

The priority is to secure a veterinarian who can commit to the September block. However, if you are available to start earlier in August, the clinic is very open to extending the placement and can offer an earlier commencement date.

With flights, accommodation and a vehicle provided, this is a great opportunity for a vet looking to secure a solid regional block without the additional costs associated with travelling for locum work.

• Monday to Friday | 8:00am–6:00pm
• Saturday | 8:30am–12:00pm
• Sundays off
• Small animal general practice
• Mix of consultations and routine surgery
• Some sole charge required
• Some on-call duties

About You

You’ll be an experienced small animal veterinarian who is comfortable managing a general practice caseload and can work independently when required.

While there will be some sole charge throughout the placement, you’ll also work alongside the wider clinic team with support available.

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Current registration as a veterinarian in Western Australia, or eligibility to obtain registration
• Confidence with general practice consultations
• Competence with routine small animal surgery
• Ability to work independently and manage periods of sole charge
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
• A reliable, adaptable approach to locum work
