GVC is assisting a well-established small animal clinic in Glasgow’s West End to recruit a Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a rare opportunity to become part of a close-knit, community-focused practice that’s been caring for pets and their owners for over three decades.

The Role

This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours across four days, with no out-of-hours and 1 in 4 Saturdays (9am–4pm), with a weekday off in lieu. There’s flexibility for a consult-only role if preferred, offering an excellent work-life balance.

You’ll enjoy working in a modern, well-equipped surgery, complete with digital radiography, dental facilities, and an in-house laboratory for fast, accurate diagnostics. The clinic encourages case continuity and supports clinical freedom.

The Team

You’ll be joining a dedicated and experienced team of 5 vets, 4 RVNs, and 3 receptionists, supported by a proactive Practice Manager. The team is known for its welcoming atmosphere, teamwork, and strong reputation for providing gold-standard care.

Salary & Benefits 

• Salary: £40,000–£55,000 (DOE)

• 6.6 weeks’ holiday, including bank holidays

• £1,750 CPD allowance plus 5 days off

• RCVS and two other memberships paid

• VDS cover provided
