The Role This clinic is seeking a skilled Associate Veterinarian with 3 years of experience to join their team. The role involves providing exceptional clinical care, mentoring team members, and contributing to the growth of the practice. The successful candidate will work closely with the Practice Manager to deliver tailored solutions that enhance animal welfare and client satisfaction in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and emergency veterinary care for companion animals.
• Conduct diagnostics, treatments, and preventative health programs.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high service standards.
• Collaborate with the Practice Manager to support clinic operations and team performance.
• Mentor veterinarians and support staff of varying experience levels.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with New Zealand veterinary regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent, with full eligibility for registration with the New Zealand Veterinary Council.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in companion animal veterinary practice.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to engage with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a dynamic clinic environment.
• Valid New Zealand driver’s license.

• Experience mentoring or leading veterinary teams.
• Familiarity with practice management software and data-driven decision-making.
