The Role – Associate Veterinarian
This is a full-time, small-animal position with a flexible 4-day workweek and shared weekend rotation. Duties include a wide range of veterinary responsibilities such as:
- Performing routine consultations and providing comprehensive client education
- Delivering preventative wellness care including vaccinations, parasite control, nutrition, and weight management
- Conducting and interpreting diagnostics, including laboratory workups, radiology, and ultrasound
- Performing surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, mass removals, dental surgeries, and advanced soft-tissue cases (with opportunities for surgical mentorship or advanced caseloads if preferred)
- Delivering comprehensive dentistry services, including dental radiographs, extractions, and preventive oral care
- Managing internal medicine cases, from acute illness to chronic disease management
- Developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs
- Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with best practices
- Building strong, trust-based relationships with clients through effective communication and compassionate care
- Collaborating with colleagues on complex cases and supporting team-based decision-making
- Contributing to the training, support, and mentorship of newer graduates or team members
- Participating in hospital initiatives for community outreach and client education

Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- DVM/VMD degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited university
- NAVLE certification
- ECFVG or PAVE (if graduated from a non-AVMA accredited program)
- DEA, State, and USDA licenses (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Proficiency in general medicine, dentistry, and surgery
- Strong client communication and teamwork skills
