An established small animal practice with a proud 30-year history of caring for the community is seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Lead Veterinarian to join the team.
This position is ideal for a vet who enjoys clinical work while also mentoring others and helping shape the future of a dedicated veterinary team. The role combines consulting, surgery, and leadership responsibilities, overseeing the Primary Care team within the hospital.
About the Practice
The practice is a well-equipped general hospital featuring:

A full in-house laboratory

Comprehensive imaging, including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, and ultrasound

Three spacious consult rooms, a dedicated surgery suite, and a separate treatment area

Your Key Responsibilities
As the Lead Veterinarian, you will:

Provide high-quality clinical care across medical and surgical cases

Lead, mentor, and support the Primary Care Veterinarian team

Manage performance and contribute to appraisals for GP veterinarians

Assist with training for nursing and animal attendant teams

Contribute to the development and execution of the hospital’s marketing initiatives
-
Play an active role in the practice’s leadership team

About You

Minimum 5 years of experience in small animal general practice

Bachelor or Doctor of Veterinary Science, registered with the NSW Veterinary Practitioners Board
