This wonderful clinic is a privately owned practice nestled on the banks of the beautiful Forth River, just a hop, skip, and a jump from Devonport and Ulverstone, and a stone's throw from the airport. Â We are a casual 45-minute drive to the magnificent Cradle Mountain and a mere five minutes from the most exquisite beaches. Talk about an office location, we think it's a stunning place to be!
The team is a vibrant bunch of some of the most progressive, creative, and dedicated Vets, Vet Nurses and Receptionists. Every day, we strive to deliver the best care possible, ensuring that each cute, fluffy, feathered, or scaly patient that visits us receives the best support and attention whilst in our hands.

What the position requires from you:
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in delivering gold standard medical and surgical care to our furry, feathered, and scaled patients. (including x-ray, ultrasounds, dentistry)
Conduct, monitor and document pre and post-operative care for animals including conducting TPRs and IV catheters
Perform laboratory work, including blood tests, urinalysis, faecal examinations, and progesterone testing. Â
Administer medication as prescribed by the veterinarian.
Communicate and educate our clients about pet care and treatment.
Maintain a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment.
Keep detailed and accurate patient records – because every little detail matters!
Step in and manage the front desk when needed – we value your versatility!
Qualifications & Experience:
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
At least 2-years’ experience as a vet nurse is preferable, but not a deal-breaker.
Excellent communication skills and a positive, friendly attitude
High attention to detail and organisational skills
Experience with surgical preparation, anaesthesia monitoring and post-operative care
Ability to work both in a team and independently.
