We’re representing a purpose-built small animal clinic on the Gold Coast seeking an experienced Head Veterinarian ready to take on a rewarding leadership role. The practice is well-established, supported by a passionate team, and known for its genuine connection with the local community and their pets.

About the Role

As Head Veterinarian, you’ll take a leading role in clinical decision-making, team development, and client engagement — with ongoing support from an experienced management team and veterinary operations mentors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong clinical leadership and guidance to the vet and nursing team

  • Mentor and support junior veterinarians

  • Build and maintain excellent client relationships

  • Partner with the Practice Manager to oversee clinical and financial performance

  • Promote a positive, collaborative clinic culture

About You

You’re a confident and compassionate vet who enjoys motivating others and leading by example. You value teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.

You’ll need:

  • A Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent)

  • Current registration (or eligibility) with the relevant Veterinary Board

  • Excellent clinical and surgical skills

  • Experience in a leadership or mentoring role (preferred)

  • A proactive, supportive approach to practice growth
