Dates: 29th December – 6th January, and 19th – 31st January
Hours: No after-hours or weekends | Open to 4 days per week or full-time (Mon–Fri, 40 hours)

A friendly companion-animal clinic in Turangi is seeking a Locum Veterinarian for two blocks of coverage over the summer period. The role is consult and surgery focused (predominantly consults due to the time of year) and offers excellent nurse and coordinator support within a relaxed, community-based setting.

What’s on offer:

• Flexible 4-day or full-time schedule (Mon–Fri, 40 hours)

• Consult and surgery mix — mostly consults during this period

• Sole charge with experienced nurse and clinic coordinator support

• Additional backup from sister clinic in Taumarunui (<1 hour away)

• No after-hours or weekend work

• Accommodation provided (small studio with double bed – not suitable for a family)

Requirements:

• BVSc or equivalent, with registration (or eligibility) to practise in New Zealand

• Confident with consultations and routine surgery

• Comfortable working sole charge with support staff
