GVC are providing recruitment support to a new independent clinic, and they need an experienced vet nurse to join their growing team. You will be instrumental in building the client base, finessing the practice protocols and having fun long the way.
About us:
The two female directors have worked together for several years.  Creating an enjoyable workplace is a priority – they do this by providing an excellent and ethical service, working collaboratively as a team and by keeping things lighthearted.  The aim is to build a loyal client base through trust and outstanding patient care.
The role:

We are looking for a qualified vet nurse ready for something a bit different.  You will need to be confident in, and enjoy:

  • Working as a team, allowing yourself to be supported and supporting others
  • Desire to mentor junior team members and to come to work with positivity and dedication to our patients
  • All aspects of patient care including placing IV catheters, taking blood samples, assisting with xrays and ultrasound
  • Up to date surgical nursing and in-patient care
  • Assisting consulting vets
  • Client facing situations such as nurse consults and reception

About you:
We’re looking for someone with great communication skills and a can-do attitude. If you’re proactive, take pride in what you do, and are keen to keep learning and growing, you’ll fit right in with our team.  If you strive to provide a welcoming and professional experience for every pet owner, and enjoy building long lasting relationships with clients this role really could be for you.
The Clinic:
We have a stunning, freshly refurbished building with brand new equipment in a great neighbourhood.   Lovely local shops and eateries, good public transport links and a buzzy community vibe.  We keep the staff fridge stocked with food and provide staff lunch once a month.  We are open Saturday mornings but otherwise closed weekends, public holidays and out of hours.
Our offer:

  • Full time role, flexible roster where possible
  • Salary $32 p/h upwards, commensurate with experience
  • Four weeks annual leave
  • An additional paid day off for your birthday
  • CPD encouraged and an allowance provided
  • Participation in our staff bonus scheme
  • Generous discount for staff pets
