Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon | Full-Time

GVC is assisting a multi-branch veterinary group in recruiting an experienced Veterinary Surgeon. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, progressive, and enthusiastic team, with a four-day working week and a weekend rota.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide first-opinion veterinary care and may undertake some sole-charge responsibilities, so prior experience is essential. Additional ad-hoc late evening and weekend work will be on a rota basis. The practice supports professional development and provides access to a wide and varied caseload.

  • Hours: Full-time, 4-day working week

  • Weekend rota: compensated with time off in lieu

  • Salary: Competitive, typically from £41,500+ dependent on experience

The role provides access to advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities across the group, including:

  • CT scanner and visiting MRI scanner

  • Doppler echocardiography

  • Flexible and rigid endoscopes

  • Direct radiography suites, ultrasound scanners, and dental radiography

  • Electrocautery, laparoscopy, fluoroscopy, and advanced anaesthesia equipment
