GVC are recruiting on behalf of our client who is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive team delivering high-quality care in a busy, well-established clinic. This is a great opportunity to work with a passionate, collaborative team while further developing your clinical and leadership skills.

The Role:

• Deliver excellent client and patient care in line with best practice

• Carry out consultations, procedures, admissions, and discharges

• Prescribe medications and perform dispensing checks

• Maintain accurate clinical records and handovers

• Ensure compliance with clinical, operational, and regulatory standards

• Support mentoring of graduates and contribute to team development

• Collaborate with nursing and reception teams to ensure smooth clinic operations

What You’ll Need:

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

• Strong clinical, communication, and organisational skills

• Ability to lead by example and support team growth

• Experience in delivering exceptional care in a team setting

• Comfortable with coaching, mentoring, and sharing best practice

Working Pattern:

🕒 40 hours/week – four 10-hour shifts (with lunch), one weekday off
📆 1 in 6 weekends (at a nearby 24-hour clinic)
🏖️ 2 bank holidays per year + 1–2 on-call shifts annually
🔄 1 ERS (Enhanced Responsibility Shift) as part of contract
