Veterinary Surgeon – Tameside, Greater Manchester
Full-Time or Part-Time | 4-Day Week | No OOH, No Sundays

GVC is assisting a well-established, RCVS-accredited veterinary practice near Manchester city centre in recruiting a confident Veterinary Surgeon. The practice operates over four well-equipped sites and works closely with local and national animal charities, providing high-quality care in a supportive, friendly environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will join a team of 12 vets with a wide range of clinical skills and interests, including certificate holders in dentistry and medicine, and vets working towards certificates in imaging and dermatology. A visiting orthopaedic surgeon ensures a varied and stimulating caseload.

  • Salary: £40,000–£60,000 (pro-rata) depending on experience

  • Hours: Full-time preferred, part-time considered

  • Work pattern: 4-day week, share of Saturday rota, no Sundays, no OOH, no bank holidays
