Veterinary Surgeon – Small Animal Practice | £60K DOE | No OOH | Flexible Hours
GVC is partnering with a friendly, community-focused small animal practice seeking a confident and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join their supportive team. About the Practice
This well-established, independent clinic has proudly served its community for over 8 years. The practice is fully equipped with:

Ultrasound

In-house laboratory

Digital x-ray (convertible to a comfort-focused euthanasia room)

Dental x-ray (coming soon)
They perform a wide range of routine and orthopaedic surgeries and manage a varied caseload, providing excellent clinical development opportunities. The practice is known for its warm, welcoming culture, and a team that genuinely enjoys supporting each other and their clients.
Team Structure
You’ll be joining a close-knit, experienced team consisting of:

2 full-time Veterinary Surgeons

5 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs)

1 Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA)

4 Receptionists

Role and Responsibilities

Full-time position (40 hours/week) with 1 in 3 Saturdays
-
No out-of-hours duties

Flexible working patterns available, including school-hour options

Combination of consultations and surgery with a varied caseload

Opportunity to develop professional skills and contribute to practice growth

Candidate Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience in small animal practice

Confident and personable, with strong general practice skills in both medicine and surgery

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Passion for high standards of care and animal welfare

Flexible and adaptable in a busy environment
