Veterinary Surgeon
Primary Care with Surgical Focus
Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum D.O.E.
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week, 4-day week, 1 in 8 weekends (with 2 days in lieu); minimal on-call due to dedicated ECC team

About the Practice:
GVC is assisting a dynamic, independent hospital-based veterinary practice offering both primary care and advanced referral services. The hospital has a multi-disciplinary team including specialists in cardiology, ophthalmology, oncology, surgery, ECC, and neurology.
Facilities include:

CT scanner, ultrasound, and x-ray suites

Extensive operating theatres

Dentistry suite

Fully equipped laboratory

24-hour emergency services (managed separately from GP work)

The Role:
You will join a team of 13 Veterinary Surgeons and work across the main hospital and consulting-only branches. The role offers:

Requirements:

RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon (or eligible to register)

Confidence in all GP areas including surgery and medicine

Surgical Certificate or actively pursuing one is preferred

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Positive, can-do attitude and strong interpersonal skills

Organised, flexible, and committed to high standards of care
