Veterinary Surgeon – Southampton – Flexible Hours Available

Salary: £41,000 – £56,500 per annum (DOE, including allowances, pro rata for part-time)
Job Type: Permanent – Full-time or Part-time considered
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexible working options available


The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a modern, well-equipped small animal hospital in Southampton.

This is a fantastic role for a vet who enjoys variety, teamwork, and a caseload that makes a real impact. You’ll see a wide range of medical and surgical cases, supported by experienced colleagues and access to excellent facilities — all while enjoying a strong focus on work-life balance and flexibility.


About the Hospital

This purpose-built hospital is equipped with:

  • Digital radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy

  • Separate dog and cat wards

  • Piped gases and modern surgical theatres

  • Full orthopaedic equipment

You’ll work alongside a diverse and supportive veterinary team, including vets with varied clinical interests, providing great opportunities for collaboration and learning. Weekend work is shared fairly across the team, with enhanced pay and compensatory rest time.


What We’re Looking For

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

  • Confident handling a varied small animal caseload

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Passion for providing accessible, high-quality care

  • Interest in developing your clinical and leadership skills
