Lead Veterinary Surgeon – North West London – 4-Day Week

Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Job Type: Permanent – Full-time
Hours: 40 hours per week across 4 days, 1 in 6 weekend rota

The Opportunity

Are you a confident and motivated Veterinary Surgeon ready to take the next step into leadership?

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Lead Vet to join a well-established small animal practice in North West London, leading a dedicated and close-knit team. This role offers the perfect balance of clinical work and leadership, allowing you to shape the practice’s future while delivering outstanding patient care.

You’ll guide and mentor your colleagues, take ownership of clinical standards, and work closely with the management team to drive ongoing success and team development.

About the Practice

This friendly, community-focused practice has a loyal client base and a varied, engaging caseload.

Facilities include:

• Digital x-ray, ultrasound, and dental suite

• In-house laboratory

• Recently upgraded theatre, with further renovations planned

You’ll be supported by an experienced team, including an additional veterinary surgeon, two RVNs, a student nurse, a client care advisor, and a practice manager.

The practice also benefits from access to referral support and overnight care at a nearby 24-hour hospital.

What We’re Looking For

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

• At least 4 years’ small animal experience

• Confident in routine surgery, diagnostics, and case management

• Able to lead and inspire a clinical team

• Strong communication, mentoring, and organisational skills

• Passionate about delivering the highest standards of patient and client care
