Veterinary Surgeon
South Wales, United Kingdom
We’re proud to be working with a well-established, independent-minded practice with a strong reputation for providing high quality, compassionate care across South Wales.
They’re currently looking for a confident, all-round GP vet to join their experienced team, with a particular interest in hearing from vets who have a surgical bias or are working towards a surgical certificate.
My client operates across four RCVS-accredited branches, all recently refurbished and equipped to a high standard. Their main hub features:
-
DR X-ray
-
Dental X-ray
-
Ultrasound
-
Laser therapy
-
In-house bloods (including blood gas analysis)
There’s 24-hour nurse-led inpatient care on-site during the week, and the practice ensures clinical freedom with excellent internal case support. The team includes 12 vets, with certificate holders in Medicine and Radiology, as well as visiting specialists. Surgical mentorship is available from an AVP-cert holder, supporting vets looking to develop advanced surgical skills.
-
Genuine work-life balance: Structured days with admin time built in. No expectation to work late or skip breaks.
-
Supportive, team-based culture: A close-knit environment with an emphasis on collaboration.
-
Career development: Whether it’s pursuing a certificate or stepping into leadership, you’ll be supported.
-
Family-friendly approach: Flexible working patterns and a culture that understands the needs of working parents.
-
A great place to work: Social events, supportive colleagues, and even daily dog walks (optional!).
