I am helping a multi-doctor small animal hospital near Baltimore, Maryland hire a Veterinarian Medical Director. Split your week between hands-on medicine and leadership, mentoring a capable team while shaping protocols, culture, and workflows.

Your Impact

  • Champion patient safety and evidence-based care
  • Mentor associates through case discussions and feedback
  • Oversee primary care, wellness, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and urgent care

  • Build strong client relationships with compassionate communication

You Bring

  • Strong GP skills in medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry
  • Confidence with dental radiography & ultrasound, or willingness to learn
  • Coaching mindset, organization, follow-through
  • Data-driven curiosity to improve quality and efficiency
  • Team-player attitude and excellent communication

Schedule & Support

  • Full-time, flexible hours
  • Every other Saturday half-day (optional)
  • Centralized hospital support, plus access to specialists

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base $150K–$200K + 20–23% production
  • Leadership stipend/bonus available

Requirements

  • DVM/VMD degree or equivalent from an AVMA accredited university
  • NAVLE
  • ECFVG or PAVE if attended non-AVMA accredited university
  • DEA, State, and USDA licenses (can be acquired when hired)
  • Proficient general medicine, dental, and surgical experience
