An established 24/7 small animal hospital in Leeds is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. The role offers a mix of surgical, medical, and hospital inpatient care, with excellent support from an experienced multi-disciplinary hospital team.

The Role:

• Full-time, 4-day week Monday to Friday covering consulting, surgery, and inpatient care
• 1 in 4 weekends (no sole charge; mainly emergency care and inpatient responsibilities)
• Opportunity to work alongside in-house certificate holders in surgery, medicine, and dentistry
• Access to proactive in-house CPD and clinical development programs

Candidate Requirements:

• Significant UK first-opinion or hospital experience
• Confident performing advanced procedures including:
  • Caesareans, pyometra, exploratory laparotomy
  • Addisonian, diabetic ketoacidosis, and severe pancreatitis cases
  • Oesophageal tube placements, Seldinger chest drains, silicone peritoneal drains, pig-tail urinary catheters
• Competent in diagnostics including advanced ultrasound, CT, digital X-ray, in-house lab, and multiparameter monitoring
• Able to work sole charge when required
