An excellent opportunity has arisen for a confident and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and growing small animal practice in Streatham, Greater London. This is an ideal role for a vet seeking clinical autonomy, a supportive environment, and the chance to make a real impact within a close-knit team.

The Role:
You’ll work alongside a dedicated Lead Vet, an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse, and two Veterinary Care Assistants, all focused on delivering the highest standard of care to patients and clients. The role offers a perfect balance between independence and support, with access to Medivet’s wider clinical network when needed.

Rota & Hours:

• Full-time: 40 hours per week

• Flexible weekend options: 1 in 3 Saturdays or 1 in 6 full weekends at a nearby 24-hour hospital

• No out-of-hours work required

The Practice:
Set on a single, spacious floor designed for efficiency and comfort, the practice features:

• Two consultation rooms and a dedicated surgical theatre

• Ultrasound, dental x-ray, and in-house laboratory

• Separate dog and cat waiting areas and kennels

• A friendly, community-focused environment in a vibrant South London neighbourhood with cafés, restaurants, and green spaces nearby

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality clinical care during consultations and procedures

• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure clear client communication

• Manage admissions, discharges, and treatment plans

• Work confidently in sole charge when required

• Mentor and support junior team members

• Uphold high standards of regulatory and operational compliance

Requirements:

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

• Minimum of 2 years’ UK small animal GP experience

• Confident working independently and in a small team setting

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• A proactive, client-focused approach
