Veterinary Surgeon – GP Role | East London Hospital

Are you an experienced GP Vet who thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment? GVC are assisting a large, well-established veterinary hospital in East London in recruiting a confident Veterinary Surgeon to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within one of the largest ECC-supported hospital settings in London.

About the Role

This full-time GP position is ideal for a vet who enjoys a varied caseload and wants to work across consulting, surgery, wards, and ECC. You should be comfortable with routine surgeries—including bitch spays and dentals—and confident managing emergency cases.

A keen interest in diagnostic imaging or a relevant certificate would be advantageous, but not essential. With a high imaging caseload and access to advanced diagnostics, this role is perfect for a GP vet looking to develop further in this area.

What You’ll Have Access To

• State-of-the-art imaging and diagnostic equipment, including CT

• Support from a large, experienced team of hospital vets, senior clinicians, RVNs, students, and support staff

• Onsite advanced soft tissue, orthopaedic, and minimally invasive surgery

A rota averaged over 6 weeks: approx. 40 hours per week

• 1:3 Saturdays
• 1:6 Sundays
   

• Easy access to central transport links (public transport encouraged)

Salary & Core Benefits

• £45,000–£73,000, dependent on experience
