Veterinary Surgeon – General Practice

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Hours: 4-day working week

About the Practice:
Global Vet Careers is assisting a well-established small animal practice with multiple sites in Bedford. The practice is supported by a large, experienced team, including 14 Vet Surgeons, 20 RVNs, and 16 reception staff.

This role will primarily be based at the main hospital, which is modern and fully equipped to deliver excellent patient care. The clinic values a supportive, collaborative environment with opportunities for professional development.

The Role:
The practice is seeking a motivated Veterinary Surgeon to replace a colleague leaving at the end of the year. This is an ideal role for a GP vet with 2–5 years’ experience who is:

• Confident in general small animal medicine and surgery

• Keen to support certificate-level training

• Interested in developing clinical interests such as ophthalmology or dermatology (beneficial but not essential)

• A team player with excellent communication and client care skills

Requirements:

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon (or eligible to register)

• Minimum 2 years’ general practice experience

• Confident working in a GP setting

• Willingness to mentor or support certificate-level training
