The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, multi-site small animal practice in the Leicester area

This is a key leadership position, ideal for an experienced clinician ready to take the next step in their career, or an existing lead vet seeking a fresh challenge.

You’ll work closely with the Clinical Director to maintain high standards of patient care, mentor colleagues, and help shape the clinical direction of the practice — including involvement in the opening of a brand-new, purpose-built veterinary hospital.

About the Practice

The practice is proud to offer high-quality first opinion and 24-hour inpatient care across several modern, fully equipped sites.

You’ll have access to excellent facilities including:

  • Two theatres, dedicated x-ray and dental suites

  • Separate dog and cat wards and waiting areas

  • Full range of diagnostic and surgical equipment

The environment is collaborative, with certificate-holding colleagues across surgery, imaging, and medicine, and a strong focus on ongoing professional development.

Enjoy a four-day working week (or five shorter days if preferred), with protected admin time and flexibility for personal commitments — supporting a healthy work/life balance.

The Team

You’ll be part of a supportive, forward-thinking veterinary team, backed by skilled nurses, dedicated client care staff, and a central admin team handling HR, finance, and health & safety.

The group prides itself on team wellbeing, open communication, and continuity of care — all within a friendly, community-focused setting.
