Veterinary Surgeon – Stafford – 4-Day Week, No OOH

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum FTE (depending on experience)
Job Type: Permanent – Full-time or Part-time considered
Hours: 40 hours per week over 4 days, 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, No OOH

About the Practice

You’ll enjoy a varied weekly schedule, typically including one day of surgery, one day of consultations, and two mixed days — though this can be tailored to suit your preferences.

The facilities have been recently renovated, offering light and spacious workspaces with two surgical theatres, digital X-ray, dental radiography, ultrasound, and full in-house lab equipment.

The Team

You’ll join a friendly team of 5 vets, supported by experienced nurses and dedicated client care staff.

The team prides itself on case continuity, collaboration, and maintaining a supportive, sociable atmosphere. They also see a small number of wildlife and exotic cases — from hedgehogs and owls to reptiles — adding variety to your clinical week.

What We’re Looking For

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

• Confident with routine surgery and consultations

• Interest in developing advanced skills or pursuing a certificate (fully supported)

• Team player with great communication and a compassionate approach
