Registered Veterinary Nurse – 24-Hour Hospital Role

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated RVN to join a thriving multidisciplinary team within a modern 24-hour veterinary hospital.

About the Hospital

This RCVS-accredited, purpose-built hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and supported by an enthusiastic, highly skilled clinical team. The site includes:

  • Dedicated cat, dog, exotic, isolation, and day procedure wards

  • A fully equipped in-house laboratory

  • Advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment

  • A team featuring multiple certificate holders across a wide range of clinical interests

  • A dedicated out-of-hours team operating alongside the day team

The hospital manages a broad variety of cases, from emergency presentations to advanced medical referrals, offering excellent scope for professional development. CPD is actively encouraged with both internal and external training opportunities available.

The Role

You will work with a varied caseload, including emergency patients and complex medical cases referred from multiple branches and supported practices.

Role details:

  • Full-time, 4 days per week

  • 1:8 weekends with a Monday off in lieu

  • Handover to an in-house OOH team

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an RVN who:

  • Has experience within a hospital environment and confidence handling a broad range of medical and surgical cases

  • Demonstrates excellent clinical and communication skills

  • Is passionate about patient welfare and delivering high standards of care

  • Can remain calm, organised, and efficient in a fast-paced setting

  • Shows strong attention to detail and excellent multitasking ability

  • Is committed to ongoing learning and professional development

Benefits

  • Salary: £31,000 – £34,000 (DOE)
