Are you a compassionate Veterinary Surgeon looking for a rewarding part-time role where you can truly make a difference? This long-established small animal clinic in North West London is seeking a dedicated vet to join their team, working 21 hours per week across Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Location: North West London, UK
Hours: 21 hours per week (8am–4pm or 9am–5pm, Thursday to Saturday)
Contract: Permanent, part time
Salary (FTE):

  • Up to £55,000 (10+ years PQE)

  • Up to £48,000 (5–10 years PQE)

  • Up to £43,000 (<5 years PQE)

The Role

You’ll be part of a small, dedicated veterinary team providing high-quality care to animals in need, as well as supporting the community with essential veterinary services. This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety – from surgeries and diagnostics to preventative care and welfare work.

You’ll work in a modern, well-equipped RCVS-accredited clinic featuring x-ray and dental x-ray, ultrasound, ECG, in-house lab, and two surgical suites. The team also serves as a training centre for veterinary students, so there’s scope to support and mentor others if desired.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent medical and surgical care to dogs and cats in the clinic’s care.

  • Provide preventative treatments, diagnostics, and welfare advice.

  • Support clinic operations and maintain compliance with professional standards.

  • Participate in the occasional on-call rota for shelter animals in emergency situations.

About You

  • MRCVS-qualified Veterinary Surgeon.

  • Confident in general surgery, medicine, dentistry, and diagnostics.

  • Experience in shelter medicine is advantageous, but new graduates with a passion for charity work are welcome to apply.

  • Compassionate, calm, and professional approach with strong teamwork skills.

Benefits

  • Funded and encouraged CPD.

  • RCVS registration and VDS fees paid.

  • Flexible, supportive, and caring work environment.

  • The opportunity to make a genuine impact on the welfare of animals and their owners in the community.
