We are proud to partner with a fantastic multi-doctor, full-service hospital in the Allston, MA region that is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its team of four highly skilled DVMs. This is an excellent opportunity for veterinarians who want the freedom to practice high-quality medicine while being supported by an experienced team and strong LVT ratio.
The Role – Associate Veterinarian
This is a full-time GP small-animal position, offering a 4-day work week with weekend rotation and no on-call or overnight responsibilities.
Duties include:
- Performing routine consultations and physical examinations
- Delivering wellness and preventative care, including vaccinations, parasite prevention, senior pet care, and nutritional counseling
- Conducting and interpreting diagnostics including digital radiology, ultrasound, cytology, and laboratory testing
- Managing a wide range of internal medicine cases such as dermatology, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and chronic disease management
- Performing general and advanced surgeries (spays, neuters, mass removals, soft tissue procedures; orthopedic opportunities if interested)
- Providing comprehensive dental care, including dental radiographs, cleanings, and extractions
- Assessing and treating urgent cases during hospital hours
- Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records while adhering to best practices
- Offering client education and compassionate communication to help pet owners make informed decisions
- Collaborating with colleagues on complex cases and contributing to a strong team culture
- Mentoring newer graduates or team members as appropriate

Candidate Requirements
To be considered, candidates must have:
- DVM/VMD degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited university
- NAVLE certification
- ECFVG or PAVE (if graduated from a non-AVMA accredited program)
- DEA, State, and USDA licenses (or ability to obtain)
- Proficiency in general medicine, dentistry, and surgery
- Strong communication, teamwork, and client relationship skills
