Lead Veterinary Surgeon – Well-Equipped 24-Hour Hospital – Leicestershire

Location: Leicestershire
Salary: Competitive (with quarterly performance bonus potential)
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (part-time options considered)
Rota: 4-day week, Monday–Friday, 1 in 6 weekends including bank holiday rotation

The Opportunity

Join a vibrant 24-hour hospital team as Lead Vet, overseeing a 2.5-Vet practice alongside an experienced Practice Manager. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape the hospital’s continued growth while enjoying a diverse caseload covering both surgical and medical cases.

The hospital has been recently refurbished and supports both local branches and nearby independent practices with OOH services. You’ll have access to top-tier facilities and a dedicated, close-knit team who value collaboration, kindness, and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver first-class clinical care across consultations, surgery, and inpatient management

• Provide strong clinical leadership, mentoring and supporting colleagues across the team

• Ensure excellent client communication and patient updates

• Maintain high standards of clinical, operational, and regulatory compliance

• Drive practice growth through collaboration and clinical excellence

About You

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon (or eligible for registration)

• Confident in both medical and surgical cases, with sole charge experience

• Strong communicator and positive team leader

• Passionate about delivering exceptional patient and client care

• Keen to support practice development and team mentoring
