An established and well-equipped mixed-animal veterinary hospital in Central Queensland is urgently seeking an experienced Equine Veterinarian with strong reproductive experience to assist during the busy breeding season.

About the Role:
This position is ideal for a confident, capable equine vet looking to work within a large, supportive team. You’ll manage reproduction cases, routine equine work, and occasional small animal consults within a purpose-built hospital and breeding facility.

Key Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP – through to Christmas (option to extend)

  • Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm (can start earlier during repro season – 6:00am–3:00pm/4:00pm)

  • Days: 4 days per week (flexible with scheduling)

  • On-Call: Shared rotation with team

  • Pay Rate: $85 per hour

  • Accommodation & Vehicle: Provided

About the Clinic:
This well-established mixed-animal hospital services both small and large animals across Central Queensland. Facilities include a large animal hospital, breeding centre, and small animal clinic. The practice offers full diagnostic and surgical capabilities, providing a great mix of fieldwork and hospital-based cases.

Requirements:

  • BVSc or equivalent with QLD Veterinary Registration

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in equine medicine and reproduction

  • Confident in both reproductive and general equine procedures

  • Capable of working sole charge at times

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
