Salary: $120,000–$150,000 + super (depending on experience)

A well-established, reputable small-animal practice in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join their team. This is an ideal opportunity for a clinician with strong surgical and internal medicine capabilities who also enjoys mentoring, teaching, and supporting junior vets in a collaborative environment.

The Opportunity
You’ll join a progressive GP clinic with a loyal client base, modern equipment, and a supportive leadership team. The role offers a varied caseload and significant autonomy, with the ability to shape medical standards, influence clinical direction, and guide the next generation of veterinarians.

Key Responsibilities
• Leading consultations and managing medical + surgical cases
• Performing routine and advanced soft-tissue surgeries
• Providing guidance and mentorship to junior vets and nursing staff
• Supporting case discussions, treatment planning, and clinical reviews
• Maintaining high standards of patient care and client communication
• Contributing to a positive, knowledge-sharing team culture
• Optional involvement in leadership, training programs, or protocol development

About You
• BVSc or equivalent, registered (or eligible for registration) in Victoria
• 4+ years clinical experience in small-animal practice
• Strong soft-tissue surgery and internal medicine capability
• Enjoys teaching, coaching, and supporting junior vets
• Confident working both independently and collaboratively
• Friendly, proactive, and committed to high-quality veterinary care
