Head Veterinary Nurse In Cheshire 

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced RVN to step into a leadership role at a friendly, well-established small animal clinic in Cheshire.
This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys mentoring, developing others, and driving high clinical and client care standards.

About the Role

  • Salary up to £38,000K
  • 4-day working week with a set day off
  • 9-hour shifts
  • Includes duty nights and 1 in 4 weekends
  • Consult lengths: 15 minutes (sick pets) / 10 minutes (vaccinations)

Opening Hours

  • Mon: 08:00–19:00
  • Tues–Thurs: 08:00–20:00
  • Fri: 08:00–19:00
  • Sat–Sun: 09:00–15:00

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified RVN with solid clinical experience
  • Confident, proactive and supportive leader
  • Enjoys mentoring RVNs, students and VCAs
  • Strong communicator with a patient-focused approach
  • Motivated to maintain and develop clinical excellence across the team

  • Biochemistry, Haematology, Urinalysis, Microscopy
  • Digital X-ray & Dental X-ray
  • Ultrasound
  • Orthopaedic capability
  • Tonopen

The Team

  • 3 Vets
  • 5 RVNs
  • Supportive leadership and client care team
  • Team interests include orthopaedics and BOAS work
  • Approx. 50/50 dog & cat caseload

Shift Patterns 

  • 8am–5pm
  • 9am–6pm
  • 10am–7pm
  • 11am–8pm
