GVC is assisting a well-established small animal practice in Chester that is entering an exciting new phase, investing in modern systems and technology to enhance clinical care, efficiency, and job satisfaction.

🐾 The Role

• Full-time preferred (part-time considered)
• Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 6:30pm
• 1 in 5 Saturday mornings (9:00am – 12:30pm)
• No out-of-hours or Sundays
• 20-minute consults
• Structured diaries with protected admin, phone call time, and blocked lunch breaks

This role would suit a confident, experienced vet who enjoys consults and routine surgery, with the opportunity to pursue or develop special interests.

🏥 The Practice

You’ll be joining a friendly, close-knit clinical team consisting of:

• 7 Veterinary Surgeons
• 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses
• 3 Receptionists

The practice benefits from a varied and interesting caseload, a high proportion of insured pets, and proactive clients. The modern, beautifully designed interior creates a calm and professional working environment for both staff and clients.

There is a strong culture of collaboration, learning, and team support, with colleagues who enjoy socialising together outside of work.

💡 Clinical Interests Welcome

An interest or experience in dentistry, cardiology, or laparoscopy would be advantageous, but is not essential. Applications are also welcomed from:

• Experienced consult-only vets
• Vets with other special interests
• Clinicians keen to work with and learn how to utilise AI-supported technology

Certificates and CPD are actively encouraged and supported.

✅ Candidate Requirements

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Minimum 4 years’ UK experience
• Confident with routine surgery and consultations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Open to embracing new technology and clinical innovation
