Salary: Up to £65,000 DOE
Are you a Veterinary Surgeon looking for your next career move within a progressive, well-established small animal practice? GVC is assisting a large, multi-site veterinary group based across Somerset and Wiltshire, offering excellent clinical exposure, strong support networks and genuine long-term development opportunities.
This role would suit a confident GP Vet who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team, with access to advanced facilities, experienced colleagues and a loyal client base.
The Opportunity
You’ll join a sizeable and experienced veterinary team with multiple certificate holders across medicine, surgery, cardiology and feline medicine, alongside visiting advanced clinicians. The practice operates a dedicated 24-hour small animal hospital for emergency and inpatient care, allowing excellent continuity of care and clinical support.
Facilities across the sites are modern and well equipped, including:

Digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound and advanced imaging

ISFM Cat Friendly accredited clinics

Nurse-led services supporting gold-standard patient care
The Team
You’ll be supported by a highly experienced clinical leadership structure, including Lead Vets and Clinical Directors. The wider team has a broad range of interests including orthopaedics, ECC, internal medicine, cardiology, dentistry, imaging and minimally invasive surgery.

About You

RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon

Completion of VetGDP
-
Confident with routine consultations and surgery (or keen to develop further)

Strong communication skills

Team-focused with a desire to progress clinically
Rota & Flexibility

Full-time and part-time options available

Permanent or fixed-term contracts considered

Shared out-of-hours rota on a pro-rata basis
