Experienced Veterinary Surgeon – East Surrey

A well-established, friendly independent practice in East Surrey is looking for an Experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident small-animal vet who enjoys delivering high-quality care in a collaborative environment. The practice is supported by a nearby purpose-built hospital facility with advanced equipment, including CT scanning, laparoscopy, and surgical capabilities.

Role details:
🩺 Position: Experienced Veterinary Surgeon – Full Time
⏰ Hours: 4 × 10-hour shifts (8:30am–6:30pm) Monday–Friday with paid 30-min lunch
📆 Saturday rota: 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8am–4pm, with a weekday in lieu (free lunch provided)
❌ On-call / OOH: None
🔹 Duties: Mixture of consultations and surgery, with at least one surgery day per week
💻 Team & equipment: Supported by experienced vets and nurses; laser therapy, ultrasound (cardiac & linear probes), dental X-ray, wireless X-ray, video otoscope

About you:

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

• Minimum 3 years small-animal experience

• Confident in routine surgery and consultations

• Team player with excellent communication skills

• Passionate about animal welfare and client care

• Vet GDP advisor advantageous

Salary & benefits:
💷 Competitive salary from £45,000+ depending on experience
🎓 £1500 + 4 days CPD allowance (potential to increase for certificate support)
✅ RCVS, VDS, and one additional veterinary membership paid
