Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Cornwall, UK – 12-Month FTC

Join a long-established, RCVS accredited small animal practice in beautiful Cornwall.
This maternity cover role offers a supportive team, varied caseload and a fantastic work–life balance in one of the UK’s most desirable coastal locations.

The Opportunity

• 12-month fixed-term contract from mid-April 2026

• Full-time (must include Fridays)

• 4.5-day week with participation in Saturday rota

• Occasional in-patient OOH care

• Work across modern, well-equipped small animal branches

• Salary £45,000–£55,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent first-opinion small animal care

• Work up medical and surgical cases in-house

• Provide outstanding client communication and service

• Collaborate with experienced vets, nurses and support teams

• Contribute to a positive, learning-focused practice culture

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon

• Confident with routine consultations and surgery

• Passionate about high standards of patient care

• Strong communicator and genuine team player

• Enjoys developing skills and embracing new challenges
