Senior Surgical Veterinary Surgeon

The Practice & Caseload

• Purpose-built RCVS accredited hospital with on-site CT scanner

• Team of 18 vets including multiple certificate holders

• Varied and advanced surgical caseload with referral work

• Work alongside an experienced Surgical Director in a highly supportive setting

The Role

• Salary £60,000–£75,000 DOE (pro rata, depending on certification/Adv Practitioner status)

• Full or part-time, permanent

• Fixed day off each week

• No regular OOH

• 1:4 weekend rota

• Mix of routine and advanced surgery – including TPLO & patella luxation (mentorship available)

• One operating day per week at nearby branch practice

What They’re Looking For

• Experienced MRCVS with strong surgical focus

• PgC in surgery or working towards (orthopaedics ideal)

• Confident with sole operating and managing referrals within skill set

• Interest in mentoring juniors/VetGDP

Package

• 6.6 weeks holiday

• £1,750–£2,500 CPD + 5 days

• RCVS + 2 memberships paid, VDS
