Practice Overview
This opportunity is with a state-of-the-art veterinary practice in the Essex area, part of a collaborative network of four sites. The branch has recently reopened in a modern facility with five consult rooms, surgery, x-ray, and in-house laboratory services. The wider network includes day and night vets, with certificate holders in ophthalmology, dermatology, internal medicine, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, and small animal surgery, offering a highly supportive environment for case discussion, mentorship, and professional growth.

Role Overview
The role is suited to a veterinary surgeon holding a certificate in surgery, ideally with confidence in advanced soft tissue procedures and basic fracture repairs. The candidate will join a 3 vet team, generating their own cases and running clinics with a bias toward orthopaedic care. Weekend cover is minimal (1 in 10 on-call), and there are no out-of-hours responsibilities. Full-time hours are standard (40 hours per week), with flexibility for 4 or 5-day weeks.
