Mixed Animal Veterinarian – Full-Time or Part-Time | West Gippsland, Victoria

An excellent opportunity is available for a Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join a well-established, purpose-built veterinary clinic located in West Gippsland, approximately 85km south-east of Melbourne.

This role offers a balanced and rewarding caseload with approximately 70% small animal and 30% farm animal work, excluding equine, making it ideal for veterinarians seeking clinical variety without heavy production or equine workloads.

The Practice

This modern, fully equipped clinic provides comprehensive diagnostic and pharmaceutical services on-site, allowing for efficient diagnosis, treatment, and continuity of care. The team operates within a supportive, collaborative environment, prioritising high-quality medicine, teamwork, and professional development.

The Role

• Deliver high-quality medical and surgical care across small and farm animal cases

• Manage a diverse caseload including general medicine, surgery, and herd health

• Work within a supportive three-vet team

• Opportunity for strong mentoring and skill development

• Full-time preferred, with part-time considered for the right candidate

Clinic Hours & Roster

• Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm

• Saturday: 8:30am – 12:00pm

• Sunday: Closed (emergencies only)

About You

• BVSc or equivalent

• Eligible for veterinary registration in Australia

• All experience levels welcome

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Motivated, enthusiastic, and keen to develop clinical skills

Graduate Support

New and recent graduates will receive comprehensive mentoring from highly experienced veterinarians, offering over 30 years of combined expertise across small animal orthopaedics, dairy medicine and surgery, and general surgery.
