A senior leadership role within a large, well‑equipped hospital offering the chance to shape clinical standards, support a high‑performing team and drive the future direction of a respected veterinary service.
The Practice We’re Supporting
GVC is working with a major small‑animal hospital in the Leicester area, offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinary surgeon to step into a Clinical Director position. The hospital is home to a large team of veterinary surgeons, including certificate holders across ophthalmology, orthopaedics, soft‑tissue surgery and emergency and critical care. The hospital is equipped with advanced facilities including an in‑house CT scanner, dental suites with radiography, video endoscopy, orthopaedic equipment (including TPLO/TTA systems), arthroscopy and specialist ophthalmology tools. The site holds recognised cat‑friendly accreditation and maintains a strong focus on patient experience and clinical excellence.
The wider environment supports shared learning through regular clinical discussions, monthly team meetings and structured development pathways. The hospital also acts as a nurse training centre and actively encourages certificate‑level progression for its clinical team.
