A fantastic opportunity to join a large, supportive clinical team within a modern 24‑hour hospital offering advanced facilities, varied caseloads and strong professional development.

The Practice We’re Supporting

GVC is working with a busy 24‑hour small‑animal hospital in the Poole area. The hospital is home to a large, experienced clinical team including veterinary surgeons with certificates in cardiology, small‑animal surgery, behaviour and emergency and critical care. They are supported by a strong nursing team of registered veterinary nurses, student nurses, veterinary care assistants and a full reception team.

The hospital is equipped with laparoscopy, rigid and flexible endoscopy, ultrasound, a full in‑house laboratory, digital radiography, dental radiography, separate cat and dog wards with underfloor heating and spacious consult rooms. The location offers excellent access to the coast, nearby towns and strong transport links to London.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver high‑quality clinical care across consultations, diagnostics and surgical procedures.
  • Provide clear, compassionate communication to clients, ensuring they understand treatment plans and patient progress.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical governance, regulatory compliance and evidence‑based practice.
  • Prepare accurate, tailored treatment plans with clear cost estimates.
  • Support and mentor colleagues, helping to develop clinical capability across the team.
  • Complete thorough clinical handovers and arrange transfer of patients requiring out‑of‑hours or enhanced care.
  • Contribute to shared learning and best‑practice discussions within the wider clinical network.
