An independent, well-equipped small animal practice in East London is seeking an experienced Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join its growing team and play a key role in the ongoing development of the practice across two modern sites.

The Role
This is a full-time position of approximately 40 hours per week, with flexibility considered. The rota is designed to support a healthy work-life balance:

No out-of-hours, on-call, night shifts, or Sundays

Rolling Saturday rota
-
8-hour or 10-hour shifts available
Key responsibilities include:

Delivering a high standard of medical and surgical care

Providing clinical leadership and guidance to less experienced vets

Supporting and mentoring the wider veterinary team

Contributing to clinical standards and practice development

Working across two East London sites as part of one integrated team
The Practice
The practice is proudly independent and places a strong emphasis on clinical standards, collaboration, and efficiency. Facilities and equipment include:

Separate consultation rooms

Dedicated cat and dog wards

Modern theatre and preparation areas

Digital X-ray and dental X-ray

Ultrasound

In-house blood and urine analysers

Multi-parameter monitoring

Visiting orthopaedic and cardiology specialists
About You
The ideal candidate will be:

RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
-
Minimum of 3–5 years’ UK small animal experience
-
Confident with a wide range of routine and more complex medical and surgical cases
-
Comfortable taking clinical responsibility and mentoring colleagues
-
Proactive, organised, and keen to contribute to practice growth
Salary and Benefits

Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 DOE
-
Higher packages considered for candidates with significant senior experience
