Global Veterinary Careers is supporting a well established general practice and urgent care hospital in Hayward that is seeking an experienced Veterinarian Medical Director to lead the clinical team and shape the future direction of the practice.

Practice Overview

• General practice with urgent care services
• Average daily caseload of approximately 11 patients per veterinarian
• Support staff ratio of approximately 2.5 team members per veterinarian
• Balanced case mix including wellness, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care
• Emphasis on excellent patient care, client communication, and teamwork
• Clinic closed weekends to support work-life balance

Compensation & Incentives

• Base salary range of $160,000–$200,000 DOE

Candidate Requirements

• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
• Active California veterinary license or ability to obtain
• Compassionate, client-centred approach to care
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Prior experience as Medical Director, Chief of Staff, Lead Veterinarian, or similar role strongly preferred
• Commitment to continuous growth and medical excellence
