What You’ll Do

  • Deliver first‑opinion medical and surgical care across a diverse and often complex caseload.
  • Perform clinical examinations, diagnostics, and treatment planning tailored to patient needs and owner circumstances.
  • Carry out routine and non‑routine surgical procedures, appropriate to your experience level.
  • Apply evidence‑based decision‑making while maintaining a pragmatic, welfare‑focused approach.
  • Communicate realistic treatment options clearly and compassionately to clients.
  • Work in line with RCVS standards, ensuring patient safety, pain management, and accurate clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with veterinary surgeons, nurses, and wider hospital teams to ensure continuity of care.
  • Contribute to case discussions and shared learning, supporting continuous service improvement.
