Veterinary Surgeon – 24/7 Small Animal Hospital | Greater Manchester

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a busy 24/7 small animal hospital in Greater Manchester. This role offers exposure to a diverse and challenging caseload across both first-opinion and referral work, alongside excellent clinical support and development opportunities.

The Role

• Permanent, full-time position

• 40 hours per week across a 4-day working week

• 2 in 9 weekend rota

• Working within a large, busy 24/7 hospital environment

• Mix of first-opinion and referral-level medical and surgical cases

• Regular exposure to orthopaedic procedures

• Collaborative case discussion with advanced practitioners and certificate holders

About You

You’ll be an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys working within a hospital setting and managing a varied and complex caseload. You’ll value collaboration, be confident contributing to clinical discussions, and be motivated by delivering high-quality, accessible veterinary care. An interest in surgery, medicine, or ECC is welcomed.

• 8 consulting rooms

• 3 operating theatres

• Dedicated imaging and dental suites
