An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Director or experienced Head Veterinary Surgeon to lead the launch of a brand-new, independent small animal clinic in Greater London. This is a rare chance to take ownership of a new site from day one, shape the clinical direction, and build a high-performing team. With salary up to £95,000 this role is ideal for a senior vet ready to combine clinical excellence with leadership and strategic input.

This is a larger clinic with significant growth plans, including the potential to offer extended and overnight care in the future. You will play a key role in establishing clinical standards, developing the team, and driving the practice forward.

The Role

As Clinical Director / Head Vet, you will:

• Lead and inspire the veterinary and nursing team
• Set and maintain high clinical and professional standards
• Support the launch and ongoing development of a brand-new clinic
• Deliver a mix of consultations and surgery
• Mentor and develop veterinary colleagues
• Contribute to the commercial success and growth of the practice
• Help shape the future direction of the clinic as it expands

About You

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Experienced Head Vet or existing Clinical Director preferred
• Strong leadership and team development experience
• Confident in both surgery and consultations
• Commercially aware with a proactive, ownership mindset
• Passionate about delivering exceptional patient and client care
• Comfortable leading a team through launch and growth phases
