The Role
This Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon position offers a varied caseload with the opportunity to develop clinical interests while working within an experienced and collaborative team.

Full-time or part-time, permanent position

Full-time hours: 40 hours per week across 4 days

Shifts: 08:30 – 18:30

1 in 5 Saturdays (08:30 – 16:30)

Flexible working patterns considered

Mix of consults, surgical duties, and some sole charge

Opportunity to work up cases fully with clinical freedom

Option to spend one day per week at a hospital site for exposure to more complex cases

No overnight inpatient care responsibilities (supported by dedicated OOH provider)
You can choose which branch to work at and add in days at other branches/their hospital site if desired – with access to a central hospital environment, allowing exposure to both first-opinion and more advanced cases.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a confident and motivated Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys teamwork and delivering high standards of patient and client care.

RCVS Registered Veterinary Surgeon

Confident with routine consults and surgeries

Comfortable with occasional sole charge

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Interest in career progression or leadership (for Lead Vet applicants) welcomed

This small animal practice operates across several locations in Kent and East Sussex, supported by a central RCVS-accredited hospital providing advanced diagnostics and 24-hour emergency care via a dedicated out-of-hours provider. Each branch is fully equipped to allow vets to work up cases to a high clinical standard while benefiting from wider team expertise.
