An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon (3+ years GP experience) to join a large, modern veterinary hospital in South Yorkshire.

This role would particularly suit a vet with a special interest in dentistry who is passionate about preventative care, pet wellbeing and delivering excellent clinical standards.

You’ll be working in a purpose-built, state-of-the-art practice with an experienced team of 6 vets and 9 RVNs, alongside a wider clinical and non-clinical support team. Many colleagues are certificate holders or currently studying towards certificates, creating a collaborative and progressive clinical environment.

The Role

• Deliver preventative healthcare and wellness services
• Diagnose and treat sick and injured pets
• Perform routine surgery and dentistry (with scope to develop advanced dental skills)
• Build strong client relationships and promote pet wellbeing
• Work collaboratively with the wider clinical and support teams

Shift patterns include:

• 8:00am–5:30pm
• 9:00am–6:30pm
• 9:30am–7:00pm
• 8:30am–9:00pm

With a set day off and a structured rota.

The Practice

This is a purpose-built, modern hospital with outstanding facilities, including:

• 9 consult rooms
• Operating theatres
• Dedicated dental suite
• Ultrasound suite
• CT scanning suite with 128-slice CT
• Separate dog and cat wards
• In-house lab (biochemistry, haematology, urinalysis, microscopy)
• Digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound and orthopaedic equipment

About You

• MRCVS qualified
• Minimum 3 years’ GP experience
• Confident in routine surgery and consults
• Special interest in dentistry desirable
• Strong communicator and team player
• Passionate about high-quality patient and client care
