Head Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Practice – Lincoln

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head Veterinary Surgeon to lead the team at a modern, purpose-built practice in Lincoln. This role is ideal for an experienced Small Animal Vet ready to step into a leadership position, drive clinical standards, and support a team in delivering gold-standard, evidence-based care.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident Veterinary Surgeon seeking progression into a Head Vet role within a well-equipped, forward-thinking practice.

The Role

• 39 hours per week across 4 days

• 1 in 4 weekends

• No out-of-hours (OOH)

• On-call responsibility for any overnight inpatients

• Lead clinical standards and continuous improvement initiatives

• Support, mentor and develop Veterinary Surgeons and nursing colleagues

• Play a key role within the surgery management team

• Drive clinical excellence and uphold best practice standards

This position offers the chance to shape clinical direction while remaining hands-on in practice.

Salary

• £75,000 – £90,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About You

You will be an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with strong clinical skills and a passion for high-quality patient care. Previous leadership experience is desirable, although confident senior vets ready to step into a Head Vet role are encouraged to apply.
