A client we are representing is seeking an experienced Lead Veterinarian to join their well-established small animal team across three clinics in Brisbane’s inner and bayside suburbs.

The Practice
This independently run group operates three small animal clinics located in Nundah, New Farm, and Cleveland, supported by a passionate team of veterinarians, veterinary nurses, technicians, and dedicated client care staff.
The clinics have built a loyal and trusting client base and pride themselves on delivering personalised, high-quality veterinary care. The team culture is collaborative and supportive, with a strong focus on ongoing learning, mentorship, and professional growth.
The Role
This position can be offered full time or part time, with the primary location based at the Cleveland clinic, while occasionally providing support across the Nundah and New Farm locations when needed.
The role offers a balanced mix of consulting, surgery, and team leadership, with the opportunity to mentor junior veterinarians and contribute to maintaining strong clinical standards across the clinics.
Key responsibilities include:

Delivering high-quality veterinary care and building strong relationships with clients

Supporting and mentoring less experienced veterinarians

Maintaining excellent standards of patient care and clinical practice

Working collaboratively with nurses and support staff

Contributing to a positive team culture
About You
To be considered for this role you will ideally have:

A Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia

4+ years’ experience in small animal general practice
-
Strong skills across general practice medicine and routine surgery
-
Experience mentoring or supporting junior veterinarians
-
A collaborative approach and excellent communication skills
