A client we are representing is seeking a New Graduate Veterinarian to join their well-established small animal hospital in Yeppoon on Queensland’s Capricorn Coast.

The Hospital

The hospital is a modern, purpose-built facility designed to support high-quality veterinary care and a positive working environment.

Facilities include:

• 4 consulting rooms including a dedicated feline consult room

• 2 fully equipped surgical theatres

• Dedicated dental theatre with dental x-ray

• ICU and isolation ward

• Separate dog and cat wards and waiting areas

• Full anaesthetic monitoring (ETCO₂, ECG, NIBP)

• Digital radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy

• Comprehensive in-house diagnostic laboratory

• Well-stocked pharmacy

• On-site creche for staff with families

The clinic also regularly hosts visiting medical and surgical specialists, giving new graduates the opportunity to learn advanced procedures and develop new skills.

The Team

You will be joining a friendly and collaborative team made up of:

• 3 Veterinarians

• 7 Qualified Veterinary Nurses

• 6 Trainee Veterinary Nurses

• 2 Animal Attendants

• 3 Receptionists

• 2 On-site Creche Attendants

The hospital works with a true team-based approach, meaning you’ll have strong nursing support during consults, procedures, and case management.

Nurses assist with:

• Nurse consults

• Writing up notes

• Triage

• Procedures

• Handling initial after-hours calls

This allows veterinarians to focus on diagnostics, case management, and client communication, which is particularly beneficial for new graduates building confidence.

The Role

• 100% Small Animal practice

• Full-time or part-time available

• Shared after-hours rotating roster

• Exposure to a wide variety of medical and surgical cases

• Structured support from experienced veterinarians

This role is designed to help new graduates develop their clinical skills while working in a supportive and well-equipped hospital environment.
